Fallen Beauty
This was a very personal piece of work, i've had the concept in my head for some years. I always wondered what it would be like if the cities we knew today were abandoned and left in the hands of nature. Would nature break up the walls, stone and concreate and attempt to retake and heal the world in the absense of mankind. I imagined a jungle where once streets and buidings took on the form of rivers and hills, stepping through what appears to be a jungle is the remains and ruins of coridoors, underground networks, halls, streets and buildings. I liked the idea of a small secret pool hidden amongst the ruins, a place that might seem inviting as a refuge or place of protection.
You can download this as a desktop wallpaper, in 1280 x 1024 size. Just click the thumbnail to the left, then when the larger version pops up, just right click and set as background, hopefully that should work. Feel free to request a different size.
I also did an extensive 'making of' this image in the book; Digital Art Masters Volume 3 available from www.3dtotal.com
